Looks like you simply have another Caulerpa species. Even though C. racemosa has the most variability in terms of shape, it looks like it may be C. serrulata.
Yup, its just more caulerpa, there are lots of species. Be carful if its in the display tank, they are really fast growers, and sometimes get anchored in there and can quickly take over a tank.

at this point I don't really mind since I haven't got any corals yet and I have to overfeed to make sure my goby gets enough food, but i'll definetly start pruning it once I get corals.... I don't have any room for a sump so I have to put it in the display tank to get the benefit.
