Okay, folks, I am very new to this site and very new to fish, too. I have kept fish in the far past, before internet, etc. but now I want to do it right. I am having trouble interpreting some of your verbal short cuts. I have been able to figure out sw means salt water and lfs, I assume, means local fish store. Can any of you give me more interpetations that you can think of? Also, what are endlers? See, I told you was I very new. Right now my fish consist of four male bettas all kept seperate and four female bettas in a moderately planted tank and some snails. Thanks for your patience.

Endlers are a livebearing fish. They're very similar to guppies but colors are different.

IMO- in my opinion
IMHO- in my honest opinion
WC- Waterchange
HOB- Hang on back (filters)
UGF- under gravel/ground filter
TIA- thanks in advance
LFS- Local fish store
IME- in my experience
BN Pleco- Bristle Nose Pleco (fish)
DP- Dwarf Puffer
DG- Dwarf Gourami

There are probably more but thats what I can think of at the moment. :)

an extremely small sized SW tank...just a few gallons vice large reefs or FOWLR (fish only with live rock)

Not in the sense your thinking buddy.Live Rock is Saltwater rocks where microorganisms, bacteria, and often times larger Inverts have made there home in the pores of the rock.
