Has anyone ever used or heard of using Sculpey to make decor for their aquarium? ive read some places online that its safe, some say not safe, some have had it in their tank for 2 years and no problem.

I wanted to make my own sunken viking ship and small shields, maybe something else i dunno.

feedback would be appreciated.

I see no problem using it if you coat the creation with silicone sealant. Just take a paintbrush and dab the silicone on with the end of the brush. A very thin layer is all you need. Sculpey clay may be safe but it will definitely be safe after you coat it.

Q,
could you use a 2 part epoxy (I imagine that spreading easier than aquarium silicone?)

p.s. LOVE the icon/handle

Epoxy is OK but so is silicone. Many have used it and you don't spread it on so much as dab it with a brush. Really easy and cheap.
