Hi people,
Just need a little advice...
I have a 60" x 24" x 28" tank, and am going a little crazy trying to figure out lighting.
I'd like it planted, not overly aquascaped but something nice and a little variety would be good.
I've been reading up on planted tanks and trying to figure out all the watts per gallon stuff, but is that related to MH or mainly fluro.
I decided to go with MH and bought a nice combo, 2 x 150w MH (20000K), 2 x 39w Fluros and 4 x Down lights. (Cost me $735 AU)
But after working out all that watts per gallon stuff was dissapointed to find that it all only still works to like 2 watts per gallon (which apparently means only low light plants). Does this rule apply to MH? Or is it different because of the fact that they are really bright lights?
Just wondering, cause I was consider exchanging the 2 x 150's for 2 x 250's is it really necessary or will I have enough light using the combo I got?
Help?
