My tank has just glass tops. I'm buying a couple sets of power compacts, and obviously using those legs to keep it off the glass tops. I don't have a canopy. I'm a little worried about something.....will the lights cause a really bad glare off the glass tops?

thanks!

oh I was also going to ask....it's going to be freshwater non planted....do I really need any more powerful lighting than the standard fluorescents? The ones that came with the tank were two 17 watt 36" lights.

thanks!

:) If you don't have plants, the lights are mostly for your viewing pleasure. (the fish don't need much light) Different types of bulbs may enhance coloration but none need to be high wattage. Standard will do just fine "T"

you dont need any high tech lighting, i would go with the Aqua Glow T-8, it in-hances the color of your fish and makes it look real
