I'm loving Tampa Bay Live Rock. And I swear I don't work for them! I got the first half of my shipment yesterday. I got all of my live sand and about half of my live rock. I'm very, very pleased. The rock has all sorts of plants and corraline on it. There are also lots of different sponges though I don't expect those to make it...they'll help in the cycle I suppose. A mithrax crab hitchhiked his way in and is adorable. There are also several baby feather dusters and one not so small. There is some sea cucumber looking thing that will likely go to the LFS if I find he is the type that may "puke his guts out" and ruin my tank. Tons of snails...just hitchhikers...not the ones intended for my CUC. Oh and LIVE barnacles. This is super fun. I've been staring at an inch-by-inch square for the last 1/2 hour! Second shipment comes after the cycle. Can corals and fish really be as fun as this?
HOoray!

Randomly, I see these spurts of dusty stuff come shooting out of a tiny hole in a rock. It is soooo cool!

Do you have any pics? I think you can easily spend hours looking at the different life on the rocks. Just looking for movement and then you see something that you didin't realize was in your rock. Congrats. If you do have pics, please post. I need to order some rock, about 80 lbs) and would be interested to see what you got from them.

I'll get right on the pic thing. Unfortunately, some of my dust has settled onto the rock but I'll see if I can get some decent shots. I posted in another place "my LFS is irritating me" or something like that more details about the rock if you want to check it out. It is the best, most live rock I have ever seen - especially that
anyone will actually part with. Not just those plain rocks that have a little bit of purple coating on them! The guy also sent them out the day after I emailed him my order. They arrived THAT day. Know that you will need to go to the airport to get them. For anything under a hundred pounds delivered to Charlotte cargo port, the shipping is about 60.00 (you pay this directly to the airport).
He can sell you a start up "package" (discounted rock, CUC, and sand) if you are starting a new tank or live rock separately if you are already established.
