dude, you seriously have one of the best looking tanks i've ever seen. so pristine and clean. all the residents look happy, and a georgous banded coral shirmp. congrats!!

I love all the different mushrooms right in the middle...I would have to buy like 50 mushrooms to get that great looking effect in my tank.:grinyes:

Your tank looks awesome!

Thought I would add some specs about my tank:

Tank Size:

Tank - 24"x16"x16" = 96 litres
Filter Unit - 13"x4"x2"(2" is the depth of water) = 2 litres

Total = 98 litres

Filtration:

16 kg Live rock in display

Above tank filter unit comprises of a bed af Aragamud sand, 3 large chunks of live rock rubble and cheato, all lit 24/7 by a 10w submersible LED. There is also a plastic grate at one end where I place the following:

1 x Bag Purigen
1 x Bag Rowa Carbon
1 x Bag Rowa Phos

All loosely packed for better flow over the media.

I have modded the tank to enable me to use a V2 400 skimmer which pulls about a full cup of skimmate every 7 days.
I run the skimmer part time between 1200 and 1900

Flow:

I use the following for flow:

1 x Koralia 1 - 1500 lph
2 x Koralia nano - 2 x 900 lph = 1800 lph

The pump for the filter unit turns the water through at 540 lph
The V2 400 is fitted with the stock Rio pump, I think it's rated at 2400lph?

Giving me a turn over of 6240 lph (not sure if correct) - 63x tank volume!

Heating and Cooling:

Tank is heated with a Hydor heater set at 25 degrees. This is plugged into an ATC300 allowing a 1 degree shift either side. The stable temp is between 25.3 and 25.9 degrees.

For cooling I have fitted to the closed hood 1 x 60mm PC fan and 1 x 80mm PC fan which are timed to turn on/off with the main lights

Lighting:

At present the tank runs with the stock lighting of 2 x 20w T8 tubes, 1 x 8k Marine white and 1 x 20k Actinic
My modification to the tank enabled me to fit an Interpet 55w T5 Power compact fitting to which is fitted a 50/50 Daylight blue PC.
For moonlight I use a 12" blue cold cathode tube
All lights are fitted with reflectors

Timings are:

0700-1000 - Moonlight
1000-2100 - T8's
1100-1900 - T5 PC
2100-0000 - Moonlight

Substrate:

Medium grain sand

Background:

Black backing paper

Feeding:

I feed my fish a small amount twice a day and my corals twice a week.
For the fish I have mixed in a container Ocen Nutrition Reef Plus/Brineshrimp Plus/Spirulina Flake. I also give the occasional feed of frozen Mysis soaked in a Vit supplement
I feed the whole tank Cyclopeze twice a week with a baster aiming at the mouths of the corals

Dosing:

Every 2 days I dose:

1/2 Cap of Coral Flex Phyto
1/4 Cap of Seachem Iodide
1 Cap of Reef Carbonate (for Alk levels)

Twice Weekly I dose:

1 Cap of Seachem Reef Trace
1 Cap of Seachem Reef Plus

I dose Calcium/Magnesium as and when required using Seachem Reef Complete for Calcium and Seachem Reef Adv Magnesium

Maintenance:

Daily glass cleans (the spots the snails dont get!)

I perform a 20 litre water change every 2 weeks using RO water using Seachem Reef Salt mixed to 1.025 and heated to 26 degrees over 24 hours

I give my rocks a blast with a baster just before the water change as well as changing the carbon/rowa. I change the purigen once a month to keep it fresh. I also stir the sand but the Certihs do quite a good job.

Weekly clean of skimmer cup.

Once its a year old I will clean all the pumps and pipe work but its still a baby at 6 months

Current stock:

Fish and Motile Inverts:

1 x Royal Gramma (Curious George)
2 x True Percs (Ted and Thelma)
1 x Coral Band Shrimp (Alf)

1 x Mithrax Crab (hithchiker)
1 x Ugly red eyed rock crab which I'm still trying to catch!

Tank Params at last check:

SG 1.025 (Refractometer)
PH 8.2 (API)
NO3 0 (API and Salifert)
PO4 0.015 (D&D Merck)
Mag 1480 (Salifert)
Cal 450 (Salifert)
Dkh 9.6 (Salifert)
Iodide 0.03 (Salifert)

I think that is just about everything but I've probably missed something.

great pics! that CBS is huge!

Ive had him for about 4 months and he has moulted abouty every 3 weeks. I was sad for him though as I bought him as a pair with a female who was carrying. They were always cleaning and primping each other then one night after watching the female rearrange her eggs I woke up to find her dead. I think the evil pygmy cherub I had attacked her to get the eggs as he was a greedy little thing:(
