My Blue Cray has shed his shell/skin again but like every other time he hides from it.... This is probably around the 6th or 7th time ..... My shrimps shed but eat the shell/skin quite happily but he has never done this....

Is this okay and should I just remove it like I normally do due to his lack of interest...?

God no.... He's a proper cannibal... He lives in his own tank he is a big boy with a big appetite fish being his favourite.......

He has never eaten his shell but I normally take it out after around a day with no interest....

Am I taking it out too quickly do you think????

During a molt they can get quite stressed, it may take them a day or two for them to regain some enegery, I currently have over 40 breeder crayfish, and most of them wont touch the molt for the first two days.

my cray has passed but when he did molt he didn't begian to eat it till the 4-5 day then he ate it all but the claws.. give it time it shouldn't mess up the water its not like there is any meat in it to spoil, just calcium and minerals.. leave it,..

yes i would just leave it. when he gets his energy and appitite back he will eat it.

mine take about 2 days to touch it.

Thats great info.... I have been taking it out too quickly maybe......

My boys as gone the most beautiful shade of royal blue..... And god is he huge...... Proper bruiser....LOL

pics??? sounds big?? lets see???

and yup after a day or two my cray would then snack on it.
