i love going to the green river in Utah. Thats probably the most beautiful spot i've ever seen. Last time I was on the green, we were fishing cicatas. Are there any other fly fishermen on here? Where do you guys like to go?:feedback:

i dunno.. the whole mechanism of it just doesnt appeal to me.. I'm rather clumsy, and see myself getting found dead at the bottom of the river because I tangled myself in line and drowned.

hmmm... try a float trip? Its hard to drown if your in the boat.

I mostly fish the Northern Farmington River here in CT cause I don't have a boat. I've never done any fly fishing but I'd love to learn some day when I have more time.

Oh, what a lovely little trout. I fly-fish too, up in the June Lakes/Mammoth Lakes/Bishop area of California.
Although I do have to shake my finger at you for that particular hold if you're C&R that pretty fish. :P

I fly fish from time to time. Except its not for trout, its for monster smallies and northern on my river. Nothing like a 6lb. small mouth taking off with your fly.

I love flyfishing. I just started 2 years ago (I'm 13). I go to Crab Creek in Ritzville, it's a spring creek and above the waterfall, all there is is Brook Trout and Rainbows, a few cutthroat but because of hybrid breeding, there probably is only a few more generations of any sign of the spot of orange or cut throat. I have a Sage Pole, with a custom lightweight reel (I'm not a strong kid (;), I love my set-up!

Fly fishing just amazes me. To be able to land a good fighter on such a small thin leader and tippet blows my mind. I have tried fly-fishing from time to time but haven't been too successful. I go with someone that knows what they are doing. I know about "match the hatch" but it doesn't seem to help me any.

part of it is presentation but a lot of it is timing(aka luck)
