Well, I hooked up my 2217 yesterday on my Heavily planted 75 gallon Angel tank. I also have 2 2213s on this tank. Well, the flow rate on the 2217 was pretty dang high, so I have managed to dial it down a bit using the valve connectors. Now I am just waiting for my angels to realize that they aren't going to be attacked by water and to start swimming around again.

Was wondering if anyone else used a 2217 on their Angel tanks and if the Angels had any issues adjusting to the flow rate. The danios and tetras love the current, the Angels, not so much it would seem.

You could have the 2213's put out across the top of hte tank, leaving the 2217 to make the water swirl. That would lower the current a bit.

well one 2213 and the 2217 are all at the top of the tank right now. The other 2213 I use with my CO2 tank and it is in the middle of the tank.

it may take a bit, but they will become accustomed to the flow.

so I should leave the 2217 at full bore or keep it reduced flow?

Reduce it so that the plants are at least somewhat upright and the angels aren't tumbling around - but no more than that :)

Extend the spray bar, that should make the current less powerful. I am thinking about doing that on my oscar tank w/ my 2260.

I think they just need to get use to it also. I know my O's did.

Another strategy it to slightly drill out the spraybar holes, making them just a bit larger - this lowers velocity.
