Hello,
Hopefully someone can help me through this dilemma.
I have approximately 28 various Mbunas in my 90 gallon tank, though many of the smaller ones aren’t shown in this (crumby) photo.
In area 1 I have what I have been told is a Kenyi male and female that are currently overly protecting two frys that are hiding in the rock area.
In area 2 I have what is the largest of 3 Red Zebras in the tank.
What has happened is between the Kenyi and the Red Zebra, they continually keep (or attempt to anyway) the the rest of the fish corralled into the upper right hand side of the tank. This corralling goes on 24/7 sometimes with violent water splashing, lip locking, and other fighting taking place.
While the Red Zebra seems more concerned about the larger fish (3 inches plus, letting the smaller stay in the rocks), the Kenyi will let no fish what so ever on the left side of the tank.
I have ordered a 40 gallon tank which should be here in a week or so.
What do you think would be the best thing to do as far as housing or re-housing?
I’m thinking about relocating the Kenyi, but regardless know it is going to be next to impossible to round up any of the fish especially the frys.
Any suggestions TRULY appreciated.
