well bascially i decided to go with the fragile more pretty setup so that phases out larger sized animals i guess such as a horned dragon...

this is a 30g extra high with 4-5 inches of water. i added more wood and piled rocks on the right side for more land area as well. also added plants

2 flourscent bulbs plus a 60 watt basking bulb. im going to add more plants such as photos and bamboo and some mosses and java ferns....

all i have is a powerhead but i positioned it in a way that its wedged b/w 2 rocks and it shoots water at the back wall keeping it off the soft wood of the grape vine which will get fungus in water. im going to add a very small filter soon.

there is also a water heater set at 76 degrees..

right now there is just a juvenile golden apple snail for tank maintenance.

so with that all said and done...reccommend me something.

how about 2 anoles, a red eye tree frog, g1old dust day gecko,1 house gecko, african butterfly fish

feel free to add/edit....

aren't 30 gallons too little?combination of different places.i think there might be some fighting.what anoles?if anything falls into the water it is probably going to have a bad time with that african butterfly.

green. and i know they are compatible with house geckos for sure. not sure abou tthe gold dust but they are all abou thte same size. none of those animals will go in the water.

im mainly more curious about the gold dust day gecko and the red eye tree frog

Very nice tank setup!

Gold dust are very, very territorial and will nip the tail off of the anoles or the house gecko. Trust me, I know from first hand experience. I'd go with a couple of Red Eyes if I were you. Maybe 1 green anole. Green anoles are one of the most misunderstood lizard species out there. In the wild they have large territories. I know you see they all piled on top of each other in a pet store and you might think they look fine but they are stress beyond belief.

Hey no problem. :)

Research is your best friend. Just do plenty of it and you'll be fine. There are many very interesting frog species out there that would do great in that enclosure. What show are you going to? This weekend I'm going to the Northwester Berks Reptile Show. I don't plan on buying anything really but it doesn't hurt to look. Reptiles shows are a great place to talk to actual breeders and keepers with years of experience.

the one here in white plains in the county center.

Make sure whatever you put in it is a good swimmer. Im setting up our viv right now too, and doing a lot of research about frogs. From what I have read, red eyes are not particularly good swimmers, and I dont think they would work well with the lizards. I have not had one yet though, so I can not speak from experience.
Your viv looks really good. Let us know if you get any good info. And definetely post pics when its finished!

If you are going to go with tree frogs, I would add more plants as well. Are your plants real or fake? Get some Pothos. It is a common, fast growing vine and have nice surface areas on the leaves for frogs or small geckos to climb on.
