I have a small 6 gallon tank and I am stuck with the standard Eclipse Lighting for it. The plants in it are Anubias, Crypts , Java Moss, and Watersprite. All seem to do pretty well but I am interested in some of the Co2 systems like Nutrafin to improve the growth. I have a flourite substrate and currently do small weekly doses of FLourish. Since I can't upgrade the lights is there really any point in using Co2?

Use excel for a tank that small. Much easier than CO2 on smaller tanks.

The light's are low enough that the addition of co2 really isn't necessary. As mentioned, add Flourish Excel, maybe once a week.

Is there a difference between Flourish and Flourish Excel?

There's a whole ine of Flourish products; Excel is the only one that adds usable carbon, I think.

Flouish is a comprehenisve minerals mix, for dosing traces. Flourish Excel is a source of carbon for the plants. In the Flourish line of products, there is also Iron, Nitrogen, Potassium....it goes on and on.
