I'll probably be going on Sunday for the vendors and auctions again. It was decent last year despite a lot of people not showing up because of the snowstorm that weekend. Anyone else going to make it?
that is very interesting. I have never been to anything like this. its $35 to get in, right?

If you want to go to all the lectures and stuff, yes. I'm just going on sunday to check out the vendors, so that part is free.

Anyone going to be there? We're heading out there on Sun morning, I think user vidiots will be there and we're going to try to meet up.

I will be there. Some of us are planning to meet in the couch area near the checkin desk at about 10 of 11. I am bringing a few bn. There is one fm I think is full of eggs and a male old enough to appreciate it bagged and ready to go in the am when I get up.

Met vidiots very briefly ;-)
Auction was decent, I didn't bid on anything. However I got to meet ken of kensfish from whom I have been buying food and hard goods for about 4 years. I also got to meet Frank of franksaquarium.com (great source for asian fish, esp loaches and fw crustaceans) who owed me a few celestial pearl danio from a box I got from himlast summer. So I did come home with 6 small ones as well as a few lbs of frozen blood worms and mysis shrimp from ken.
Saw a cobalt blue discus that from across the room looked to be about 7-8 inches go for 55$, a bag of rotkeils go for $5/fish and a couple of albino lf bn go for $22. Lots of java moss.

Yeah, there was some decent stuff in the auction, maybe next year I'll register and see if I can get any deals. I think the trick would be to take lots of notes when you view the lots, i.e. write down the lot number, what it is, and the max you think you'd pay for it in the store. Its hard to remember after seeing all those bags then trying to tell from across the room what it was.

I haven't posted on AC for a very long time so I figured I'd check in again.
It was nice to meet TTA, Sploke and Vidiots yesterday at the auction. As you said the auction was pretty good but I didn't end up getting anything.
I did buy some Long Fin BN's from TTA which I am very happy with. Thanks, TTA!
