For a few days I've thought I've noticed snails in my substrate, but with my gravel, I wasn't sure. Well this little guy is moving around, so I'm sure. The loaches have obviously been loafing. He's really small, so a shot was not easy.
Is it a pond snail?

Yes! Something good for a change! :headbang2:
I'm googling them. I'm worried about them clogging my filter.
Wow, can someone circle it for me? I swear all I see is rocks and glare :(
Also, I'm pretty sure my local petsmart is infested with MTS's. They'll give 'em to me if I want but they try to tell you that you don't want them. I got one as a hitchiker...how many might it become? lol

yep, it's a trumpet snail... very beneficial as they keep your gravel pretty stirred. Keeping the gravel stirred prevents anaerobic pockets which can be quite silently toxic when released into the tank.

It's there again this morning around the same area.
I tried to search the tank several times last night, but I didn't see any anywhere. I tried again at about 5:30 this morning when a storm blew through, but there weren't any then either. I guess I don't have a lot yet.
Will they vac up when I clean? I'll try and avoid his favorite place.
