I've always thought that corydoras are a bit happier when they have some sort of current in the tank in a place they can swim around in at the bottom, in this a fact?
Not claiming to be an expert here, but it depends on how much current IMO- they're all riverine species although they've also been found in dry-season stagnant pools as well- their ability to breathe air may come from dry-season conditions where water movement might be close to zero. Some current should be good for them (or at least more natural), as long as it's not excessive.
i have a powerhead in my tank that produces a decent current across the length of the tank, but my 5 cories seem like they don't favor one portion of the tank over another
