ADFs and Shrimp

ADF's have poor eyesight so assuming your tank is heavily planted, both can be mixed together and ADF's aren't as predatory as the ACF's anyway. The chances of ADF eating a shrimp is slim compared to the ACF's who are adept hunters.

thanks, i didn't think they did

however, i added 8 cherry and 8 tiger the other day, in addition to the 4 amano i had. there are 6 adf in the tank...this is my 'non-fish' tank

i wondered whether they were all just hiding as they accimated to their new home, or whether the frogs had decided to have lunch; they are well fed however

thanks

I would think it would be fine. I think an adf might try to eat a shrimp baby if it was directly in front of the frog, but the shrimp are so much quicker that it would be unlikely to be a frequent offurence. The shrimp (especially if juvies) are very adept at hiding for the first week or so as they adjust to their new tank.
