Hello,

I recently bought a 75 gallon and transfered my african cichlids in it. Now i have the 55 gallon left over and i left the crushed coral in it bc i want to set up a different community tank of freshwater fish.
My question is, if i want to have tiger barbs and bala sharks and mollies in my old 55 gallon, will the crushed coral substrate be ok? I like the way crushed coral looks but i know it increases the pH levels. will i have to remove the crushed coral and get "regular" substrate?

thanks,
Reynan

well, there's really no need to have it in there. the mollies may appreciate the higher pH but it's not so great for the other fish. by the way, bala sharks grow to 18".
