I didn't expect it but 2 of my 3" angels paired up and laid eggs on the filter inlet tube. They guarded them for 2 days before they ate them(bad parents). I was wondering how often can Angels breed? I bought some frozen rotifers just in case.

Thanks. Hope they are. I put a small plate in the tank leaned against the log. Hope they use it so I can put the eggs in my 3 gallon tank to hatch.

They can go again in as little as 10 days. if you can get a breeding slate, it will work better.
If they are in a community tank they may not become good parents even given time since most will eat their own eggs before they allow something else in a tank to do so.

new pairs will often eat the first few batches of eggs. it may take a few spawnings before they get their parental instincts totally down. after that though, they'll spawn like clockwork.
