I just received this new fish from one of my parent's friend whom are moving. I think it's an aged silver dollar, but it kind of looks like a piranha. Any advice would help. Currently it's stocked in a 10 gallon tank with 3 Albino corys, a crab, and a algae eater.

yep silver dollar

yep, silver dollar. a member of the tetra family, they can reach 4-6 inches or more depending upon the exact species, and like their smaller cousins, enjoy being in groups so they can school with each other. a 55g tank with 3 or 4 more would be a very good start.

does it have sharp noticeable teeth ..if so pirranha ...but very likely a silver dollar 95% sure

The "silver dollar," or Metynnis hypsauchen is a member of the Characin family, and much like most other fish in this family, does have a decent set of teeth, which become more apparent as the fish matures. They're not quite like a pacu's teeth... but I sure as heck wouldn't want to be bitten by one.
