How can I do this? The peas sink, one of the mollies will pick at it but not really eat any.

As an aside, my dalmatian hangs out at the top of the tank any time I'm near, desperately trying to eat everything(every bubble, fleck of dust, piece of plant matter) that floats along the waterline. If I drop food in, she gobbles it up like it was going out of style and comes back up to the water for more, mouth flaring frantically. Is she pregnant? Or are mollies just pigs? I can resist feeding if she's just being piggy, but I don't want to starve a pregnant momma :P

Make sure you take the outer shell of the peas. I usually throw some whole peas in (without the shell...) and some I smoosh between my fingers, so that all can easily eat.

Yeah I've been removing the buds from the skin. They've picked a bit but not eaten much. I'll try again tomorrow maybe :P lol

Are the mollies constepated or bloated? If not, the peas can slowly be adjusted into their diet. I'll admit, the best tact (especially for Mollies that are avid flake eaters and thus lazy) is to not feed them for 3 days! ;)

If they are constipated/bloated, not feeding them will be a good idea anyways, and thus resolve the issue.

The last thought is that Mollys do require a vegitable-based diet. I feed mine Spirula veggie flakes and blanched cucs/zuccini. The only time they bother the veggies is if they haven't eatten in a few days ...
