The thing is in his tube and i havent seen him stick his crown out all day. I dont see it in the tank, so i dont think he lost it...

Im new with feather dusters so this might be normal but im just curious to whats happening..

Thanks.

Mine aren't out 24/7 I must admit.

How long have you had it?

How long have you had it? Unless he lost his crown he should come out for a bit. You can try stirring up some sand next to his tube. I know my feather dusters love to come out during water changes. They like to catch the floating particles.

Also, where is he located? The water flow could be too much or if he is on the sand bed a hermit crab could be bothering him.

hes in the sand bed, this is his second day in the tank. there could be alot of flow on him... i didnt know that was a problem. There is no hermit that would bother him. i only have 3 and they hang out on the LR. MY scooter blenny might be bothering it?

I got up this morning to find my brand new feather dusters tube being attacked by my young arrow crab. He had managed to tear several holes in the tube, but I did not see the worm anywhere. Well got home from work today and what do I find but my **** banded coral shrimp fighting with a cleaner shrimp over the remains....

*sigh*

The larger feather I bought also abandoned his tube because the snails kept going at it, but he seems to be fine just hiding in a crevise in the rocks nearby. Still, they've only been in there 3 days, not very promising.
