I was at a LFS near my school (never had been there before, and decided to check it out) and they had a tank of shrimp there labeled "Whisked Shrimp."

They were larger, and separated from the ghost shrimp that had their own tank, but still clear like a ghost. Any ideas as to what they are?

Maybe "whisked" was a typo for "whiskered". I still don't know what that would be. Do you think you could get a photo?

I forget the name, but thats one of six very closely related shrimps that are small Macrobrachium species.
(IMO ghost shrimp are an even smaller Macrobrachium)

Their compatibility with other things is dubious. On one hand they're small, on the other hand Macrobrachium generally catch and eat anything they can get their claws on, which is pretty much anything.

Those "whisker shrimp" are mighty cool looking, i considered getting some a while ago when they showed up at my LFS.

Ghosts are Palaemonetes spp., usually P. paludosus. Or do you mean that Palaemonetes should be included in Macrobrachium?
