Since my algae thread I had an idea... and I may be remiss in not searching thoroughly on the site but what fish have you had luck with when you have apple snails in your tank? I had my male betta in the 10G with my babies and he bit off their antennae. :( So i moved him back to his 3G tank. meanie doesnt want anyone in his tank with him. His new name is Poopiehead von Snailharrasser.
I have thought about rummy nose tetras and rasboras and have read mixed results. What say you AQ, any advice?

I have apple snails with neons and cardinals as well as dwarf gourami and cherry barbs with absolutely no issues. They do fine with most "community" fish. I cannot house them with my betta either. Nice name for the betta btw, lol

I love the dwarf gouramis but i was afraid to get one after Mr Poopiehead showed his true colors. Its nice to know they are a possibility.

my betta left the snails alone - but he tried to eat the cherry shrimp.
