Since I was taking pics for another purpose, though I'd throw in a tank shot and post it here. I'd love to hear any suggestions for improving my tank!

The blue hose at the back, btw, is my C02 setup.. it's not normally so visible, but my suction cup no longer seems to hold, so it wanders. Gotta fix that...

I'm no photographer, that's for sure... so the colour, etc, isn't as good as it could be. The colour is much richer than this photo would suggest.

Sadly I've been really lax in getting the research done on the plants. My LFS just sells every plant as "bunch plants" (annoying, since I'd like to know)... so I've got to look them up myself.

The few I know for sure are, I guess, the more obvious ones... the amazon sword, java fern, and java moss. I have the name of the floating plant, too, but at the moment it escapes me. I've got an additional 6 un-identified plant species in there.

I'd love to find a good middle-height plant to fill in the back a bit.
 
It looks like you have some sort of hygrophila on the right, in front of the ruins. With CO2, that should grow really fast. I might also put some vallisneria in there, toward the back middle or right.

How much light is on the tank?

If you're talking about the plant I think by the ruins, then yeah, it grows like stink!

I looked up the vallisneria, and I have a little bit of that already in there... I love that plant and need to get a bigger clump of it!

My light situation is pathetic.... about 1WPG. I don't want to spend the money on a retrofit as I'm saving that money toward a larger tank (which I will make sure has excellent lighting... I really enjoy keeping the plants).
 
Wow, I really like your tank! I usually don't like aquarium ornaments, but the little castle in there is really cool!
 
Thanks! I'm typically not a fan of ornaments either.... but something about the way this suggested a world-gone-by really appealed to me.

looks good.. like the castle in the corner...would look sweet with a moss bottom --opposite of a mote ya know..

where are all the fish? lol camera shy
