I paid a visit to my local fish shop while i was out on my travels today...Happily browsing around the tanks, looking over the stock, when i come across this beast......It was an absolutly stunning mantis..Its body was about 6 - 7 inches long...Tried to get a pic of it being fed but it was too fast for my phone cam to get it extending....

Man I want one of those things so bad....Would make a crazy tank, something like a 40breeder with a mantis and a bunch of damsels.

A mantis this size would easily take down a large fish...And to answer your question....it would, with ease, as a size comparable fish..
