I don't get to fish much anymore but when I was a kid I did every day :(

Very nice! I never heard of anyone catching flounder on a spoon before. They aren't aggressive attackers like trout is. We usually use spoons for Mackerel/speckled trout.

Yes, it was cold and it's also very weird being out on a frozen lake at midnight. Something eerily peaceful about it. We didn't have any luck with fish that night either.

I don't know what this is called, except we called the pohgies? They came in this color and a yellower shade. The meat is a very interesting blue color, but it cooks nice and white!

Also here's a few from commercial fishing for Red Salmon. I was just an observer this year although I have fished a little tiny bit in the past. It almost feels like cheating to count your catch in the hundreds of fish.

We went to Maui for 12 days at the end of Jan, beginning of Feb. We went on a fishing trip, trolling open water.

It is a Mahi-Mahi, here is more info http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahi-mahi
Quote from Wikipedia:
The mahi-mahi (in Hawaiian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawaiian_Language))[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahi-mahi#cite_note-0) (Coryphaena hippurus) also known as dolphin-fish or rakingo, calitos, maverikos, or lampuka (in Maltese (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maltese_language)) are surface-dwelling ray-finned (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ray-finned_fish) fish (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fish) found in off-shore temperate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temperate), tropical (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tropical) and subtropical (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subtropical) waters worldwide. They are one of only two members of the Coryphaenidae (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coryphaenidae) family, the other being the Pompano dolphinfish (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pompano_dolphinfish).

I don't take many pictures because I usually go fishing off a pier or point somewhere and typically just catch a ton of trout (white and specks) a few flounder, sting rays, etc.
The only two pics I could even find on my computer were of a small red (about 24" or so, roughly 8 pounds) and a drum about 40 pounds.

I'm usually using my quantum accucast, but I like a variety. I've got two heavy tackle spin casts that I really like, I've hauled in some nasty carp on them, and I have never had a problem with either.
I've had that black zebco reel since I was a kid, so I'm never letting go of it :P. The micro spincast is for scuba fishing now, I thought it would be fun to dive with a pole and fish, and it is (catch and release of course :P).
I have to tell you, that rhino spinning reel is amazing, better than any spinning reel I've used before and its only 50$. The rhino baitcaster is rubbish though, I'll probably mod it later.
