AFRICAN CICHID TANK (60 gal.)
i love these guys, unless you go with a saltwater tank, these guys have the most color and are so exotic loking and brite, they really bring out a tank if you do it the right way......here's some pics i took really quick so i could share my new arrivals, we added to new fish yesterday, they have made the set up complete for us, do to room also, but because these guys are so agressive , the tank is always busy , but they maintain a good level with out tearing each other up, so w hope you like it too. sorry the water looks a little cloudy , we had just finished some routine maintenance) ?????P.S. IF YOU CAN SEE IT IN THESEE PICS YOU WILL NOTICE IA M HAVING SOME ALGEA GROWTH BEGIN TO TAKE OFF, WHAT CANN I DO WITH OUT HAVING TO THROW CHEMICALS ALL UP N THEIR SPACE, ANY IDEA'SHPIM0715.JPG

algea: scrub the glass, the rocks etc.. You don't need to use chemicals to get rid of this. Is your tank near a window?

an algae scrubber will work with the glass. that and ive heard about keeping the lights off for a day or 2. beautiful fish!

The cloudy water could be due to a shift in parameters. The excessive algae growth is most likely caused by too much light or over feeding. Cut back on both for a day or two. Scrub the glass during next W/C. Check those parameters to make sure you're not in a mini-cycle. "T"
