View Full Version : A Real Stupid Question
Hi all
I am loving my tank and bought a Coral Beauty, Quarantined her and she is now in my DT.
She is a pig and is eating well and my question is this:
I vary her diet and also feed her nori and red seaweed.
How long do I allow the seaweed on the clip to remain in the tank?
Most of the seaweed is gone the next day.
Thank you for your time

To be honest, I've never had nori/seaweed stay in my tank more than 2 minutes. Between a magnificent foxface and a lunare wrasse who are nori hogs, it's gone. Personally, if I didn't have the piglets, I'd leave it in for a while or give her smaller portions. I can't tell you how long I'd leave it in there, but not an entire day. I'd be worried about my parameters.

I leave mine in, if there is some there when the lights go out at 5pm, I can guarantee there's never any left by morning.

Same thing with my yellow tang and lemonpeel. They barely let me get my hand out before they are attacking the clip.
Thanks for the replies.
I only have the coral beauty and three chromis in my 135 tank.
The LFS was feeding her seaweed and I just started putting it in for her.
She is a pig eats almost anything. The seaweed is usually all gone the next day.
