I am soon going to buy a crested gecko, hopefully a orange female.

I will post pics as soon as i get it, for the mean time i have some pics of it viv.

Its a BSS ( bioactive substrate system) which was invented by a famous reptile keeper ( i can't remember his name at the moment)but he wrote his book called 'the art of keeping snakes'. Its a good book and alot of it tell you about BSS. Basically its got bacteria and stuff in it that breaks down all the waste of the reptile. So you only need to clean it every 2 years! And you can keep plants.

Anyone else have a BSS?

Cresties are awesome geckos. My friend has a pair. I plan on getting a few in the near future. They're the next new big think to keep. Can't wait to see some pics. :)

It's looking good! Is that bird's nest fern in the corner a dwarf variety? If not, you might want to replace it. It will get big, and you can't really prune it as you can the schefflera.

Nice setup. I haven't put live plants in my setup yet, and am currently using paper towels (as my male had a lot of issues and was losing weight, not gaining, so I wanted to monitor him better).

I do recommend using paper towels just to monitor the eating and bowel movements for the first few weeks. Just a suggestion. I use paper towels for all my QT's, much easier to monitor. I can't wait to switch my cresteds over to better substrate, but until Sticky is up to 30g (he's around 25g now and almost a year old, he gained all his weight back in the past 2 months and is doing a lot better) I want to be able to monitor him.

I really don't know much on plants so when it gets to big i will take it out.
