hello all. i have some type of mushroom...actually there are two polyps that i bought attached to the same tiny piece of rock. they're pretty good sized, and are teal/green in color...really beautiful. anyhow, i purchased a gorgonian, and when i added it to the tank the mushroom must not have been fully open...i just noticed tonight that the mushroom was agains the gorgonian's polyps and is a little shrivled, so i've kind of make-shift-ly moved the gorgonian to get it away from the mushroom. the best move for all the corals in the tank would be to move the mushroom, but it seems to have attached to the rock. i've only had it for about a week and a half, but it's pretty solidly on there. how can i move it? can i just pull it off? i don't want to harm the coral, it's one of my favs. how should i proceed? thanks in advance.
i'm hoping the ricordea will start to spread, but i dont want to spread to the proportion that ace's did :lipssealedsmilie:. i haven't messed with trying to move the mushroom today, but i think i found the real problem. there were a couple of aiptasia hiding out underneath the mushroom. so i mixed some kalk up and injected them, and i think i got rid of them. only time will tell i suppose.
