I have a betta fry tank with about 5 dozen or more pond snails in it. They keep breeding and I'm okay with it, as they keep the algae down, but I was wondering if all snails breed so easily in the right conditions? As the pond snails I have now think it's great fun in the tank. Thanks for any advice.
Snails breed where there is abundance of food supply. Pond snails will overpopulate your tank in no time. Remove some of them so you'll have control of their population.

Hmm... I have every intention of removing a good quantity of them. I'm going to give a few to a friend and feed some to my Clowns. Makes a nice changed of diet :)

most of the "common" snails will breed readily with a food source, i prefer ramshorns as they are more colorful
