These are pretty common in most LFS in the city, just have a look around. Runs about $3 for one.

Just keep in mind, they do much better in a river tank.

Our fish store gets them in fairly often. They go by Stingray Pleco there. We had one, but it ended up croaking after a few months, and it never did really grow. :/

Anyone have any of these? I'm located in New York City. http://www.goldfishparadise.com/info/tankmate.php for a picture of it.

Thanks
John

What you're seeing looks like a beaufortia kweichowensis. I've had mine for about 2 years. Keep them in a highly aerated, coldwater, high flow river tank. A 20g long is a good start.

That is a different species. Look at the size of the suction fins and the thickness/roundness of the body.
