I have a large angel that had eggs but no mate .There are a few smaller angel in the tank but they dont even go near her .Is this a normal behavor to lay eggs with out a mate.?
It happens. Time to try some larger angels and see who will eventually pair up with her but it can be difficult considering angelfish choose their partner and most of the time, it is difficult to determine whether you have a male or not. Sometimes two females will pair up but no fertile eggs will result anyway.

Eggs are fairly common from my GT. She has no mate, nor anything that would "substitute" for one. Water changes with cold or cooler water often triggers spawning or egg laying. Guess the cooling off gets things moving!

Our female Blue Peacock will carry eggs for a couple of weeks before giving up, this has happened a few times.......:)

I have an angel that lays eggs regularly and then eats them over the course of the 3 days.

Lots of times females will lay eggs but the males dont want anything to do with them...like Lupin said, it happens.
