I got this snail from my overseas contacts but don't know what the heck it is.
Anyone got any ideas. This one is the size of an acorn.

Wow, that's amazing. No clue what it is, but it looks a like a cross between a MTS and a spiky nerite.

have you looked up the sulawesi snails? Some of them have a conical appearance like that.
Very interesting...it's freshwater? I have no idea what it is, but it looks pretty neat.

It could be a sulwessi, but from all the info I got on the web it says it isn't It was a present from my thai transhipper, but he hasn't told me what it is. It kinda looks like it may be a pachyomelia species but I have never seen one with true spikes.
It does have a round trap door like a turbo snail, but it's shell isn't super thick so I'm thinking it's not even of the sun-horn complex. Definitely cool. I'll see if he can ship some more in.
Soon to come:
Clithion brevispina, Clithion retropictus, and maybe some Anetome species.
Comming this week:
Nerite natalensis

I can always get more but being a livebearer, I don't want them overpopulating my tanks. My spixi's have already done that in one of my tanks.
Yes its freshwater
