So, I toredown my 55 this weekend (long story.) and picked out a bunch of MTS to take to the LFS. I put a few inches of water in a bucket, and started dropping them in. I look in a few minutes after I put the last snail in, and see the strangest thing!
All of the snails are on the edge of the bucket, facing the same direction, hauling snail butt. Apparently they were trying to get somewhere in a hurry. It was the strangest thing...
They did the same thing the next day, when I sifted all 40lbs of sand, and put the snails and the few rocks in a tub for sorting. As i sorted, i put the rocks in another dish, for use in one tank, and pushed the snails off to the side. But everytime I looked up, they'd all be working their way back to the pile of mixed rocks and snails... I had to push the lil guys back a dozen times. The best part, is apparently I'm not very scary, because unlike most snails, they got up and moving as soon as I let go of them, instead of hiding for bit.
So, now they are in the 20gall temporary tank with the other fish.
I'll post pics/vid when I get them. (i forgot my cell at home this week.)
