my sister bought me a new oscar from a person that had a breeding pair over the weekend. its about 3-4 inches long, albino, almost pure white. i would hate to give the little guy up. anyways, i dropped him in the tank with my current oscar after taking my tiger out for an hour and rearranging the tank but the tiger wont leave the albino alone. i curentally have the little guy in a 10 gal hospital and i know he cant stay in there for more than a couple of days and was wondering if i could use a tank seperator to grow out the albino until i can afford a 120 for the two of them. ideas for making/buying a tank seperator cuz i havent heard of a seperator that large before.

Put it with the convicts..unless you are making money on their fry.
The albino shouldn't get all the fry if there is some cover or rocks to hide around.

i heard the convicts would kill the oscar if the oscar was intruding in their territory too much

Use a pice of egg crate for the divider. It is a lighting fixture diffuser that you should be able to get at any major hardware store like Lowes or Home Depot. Easy to cut to size and comes in 2' by 4' panels usually.

Though there is a chance your Os will never get a long.

i know, but i would rather keep them both in a bigger tank than poison the little one slowly and shorten his life by years

I wasn't suggesting you do that. Was just letting you know the bigger tank may not work.

i know. thanks for the info!
