I'm planning on building an in wall tank, well actually two tanks connected by an acrylic tube. I'm looking for a tube about 54" in lenght and hoping for at least a 10" diameter, preferable 12" diameter. I've found places to get all the building materials I need including the front glass and inside epoxy. the acrylic tube is all I have left to find. any ideas would be of great help.

do you know the name? I've looked there, but haven't seen anything even close to 10 or 12" tubing. All of the other companies I've found want anywhere from $700-$800 for a 5ft piece 12" in diameter.

I've been kind of looking for stuff like this for some time (if the price is right, if I'm motivated for a project etc).
I just did a quick ebay search and it looks like these two stores might be good resources...

Look for plastics stores in your area. In the Bay Area, I recommend TAP Plastics...you may have a store like it near you.

TAPplastics is an AMAZING store. I only wish we had them here in the chicago area. Whenever my girlfriend orders acrylic for her mini-cubes, she always gets it from TAP.
And on the topic of a 10" acryclic tube-- forgetaboutit. If anything, I could recommend a 4-5" tube. Its enough for MOST fish to get through with ease.
Lastly,
I dont mean to be rude...but you do know that glass and acrylic cant be connected together? You mentioned "front glass" in your OP.

The acrylic tube will be connected thru the plywood not the glass. The glass will only be for the front. I know what you mean with most fish fitting thru a 5" dia tube, but we are contemplating discuss on the tank. I would think we'd need at least 10" once they are fully grown.
I would love to see the thread on the progress of that project. good luck with it.
