:help: On the 18th day my Kenyi started spitting her fry. It's her first "litter". It appears she is trying to gather up her fry. It looks as though shes got all but 2 or three. My guess is that she picked up about 6 or 7 back in her mouth. Is this normal? It's hard to see if they still had an egg sack but it looked like one of them at least had what appeared to be something orange in color as part of them. It's really hard to tell since they are really fast.

The two or three remaining outside are hiding under a rock that mommy can't get to them. Should I remove the rocks to make it easier for her to get to them? Mommy is in a 10 gal tank all her own so no danger of other fish eating the fry. Just have a couple of rocks from original big tank with no sand at all. Alge is beginning to grow on the bottom and I think this is good for the fry to eat. When she spits again should I remove her back to her big tank? I'm really new to this so I'd like some direction on what to do next.

No worries, the female will keep taking the fry back whenever she/they feel threatened. However, they don't need to stay in her mouth for any other particular reason after they've hatched. You can move her back to the main tank after she releases the rest. Just remember to rearrange the decor to make her reintroduction to the community easier.
