Both are laying eggs and eating them. Both are also looking a little beat up. I guess this means I better stop procrastinating about setting up the other tank (37g).

Would I be safe in assuming I need to move one of the Angels to the other tank? If so, what should I put in with her? I was hoping to use the other tank for smaller schooling fish but I suppose I better scuttle that idea.

Lucy and (no longer Ricky) Myrtle seem to sniping at one another. That would explain the minor injuries. Should I dose with Pima and/or Melafix? I have both. Lucy and Myrtle are both about 1 and a half years old.

Tank:
55 long
2 heaters
Rena XP3
1 bubble stone (had "greasy" film)
2 largish drift wood (tank safe)
gravel substrate
a few (left) live plants
medium lighting
2 Pearl Gourami
2 Angels
1 Clown Pleco
3 juvie Otos
Bunches of Ram's Horn snails (bonus on my live plants)
a few common pond snails (need to rid the tank of them!)

May have to revise my thinking here...

Looks like one is laying and the other (maybe it really is a Ricky) is dragging its bottom (sorry, don't know the technical term) across the eggs. Fertilizing?

It sounds like they need to be separated, and without seeing the inquires, i would say a few extra water changes a week will do wonders.......:)

Thanks for the input Weezer...did you take a look at my second post? I think I may have been mistaken about it being 2 females.

They are both fiercly guarding those eggs.

Well, if they're spawning right now, look carefully on the underside of the angels and check their protuberances. Do they look different?
