I have had this real Angel which was "docile" as long as her mate was alive (he was very aggressive). Now, she has grown quite large and started bossing around - (typical cichlid!). I noticed two days ago that one of the male fancy guppies had his tail and pectoral fins almost gone. That is when I observed this angel really chasing him and nipping his fins. The female platy added to the damage by chasing and atacking the guppy.

Now, I have isolated the poor guppy into another tank. Today's experiment to get him back to the community failed as the angel wouldnt give up! So right now the poor thing is back in isolation. He looks very small now that too without the fins and I am starting to think that the two big fish are trying to make a meal out of him. Any solution to this? Pls. help.

all the angels i have had would also chase/eat guppies. There bright flowing tails are like waving flags. I would remove all guppies from the tank. Sorry Good luck Zach

sorry, man. my angels love guppies, and i don't mean they want to be friends with them.
