I am thinking my shrimpt molted again. Hopefully it is not the remains of a shrimpt worked over by his tankmates. This one looks even less substantial than the shell I mistook for him last time. I was wondering if it is approprite to leave it in the tank or fish it out. I read somewhere that they will eat the shell if given time and didnt want to deprive him of sustanence if that is of benefit to the shrimp. But if it impacts water quality is would prefer to fish it out. Suggestions?

Leave it, shrimps eat it for calcium. It won't hurt your water.

Even if there are bits that never get eaten, the discarded exoskeleton will not foul the water.
