I have an XP1 on mine. Works well. I do wish I would have gotten the XP2 though.

yeah the xp2 would suffice. i think with the xp3 the water flow would be too great for your plants and fish. i personally have an xp2 on my tank, and you can see the plant sway slightly. not sure about fish since i haven't put any in yet, but I'm sure they will feel the flow too

Eheim 2213 would also be adequate.

An Eheim 2215 is fine for that size aquarium. I love the Eheim series. They are dead silent in their operation and their performance is unquestionably impeccable.

I have the Eheim Ecco 2236 on my 36 gallon bow, which is basicly a 29 gallon with a bow on the front. It will have a little more flow than the Eheim Classic 2215, and it has baskets, which make it easier to clean, and it is a wee bit cheaper. Mine has been great.

The xp3 idea came from rex grigg. He said he had a xp2 on his 29g and wished it was a xp3. How much more flow is there? If I drill out the spray bar a bit that would help wouldn't it?
On a different note. What should i run in there as far as filter media goes? I don't really want much chemical filteration do I?
Hey thanks for all the responses. I'm very appreciative.
