Just wondering. I have (3) vampire shrimps in my tank. All from the same tank at the LFS, however, two hangout together, and the other one always seems to be farthest away from the other two. I thought they liked to hang out together?

Just joined the group, hope to put up a page later this month of my setup, lots of bottom feeders (vampire, ghost shrmps, cories, two feeder goldfish). My tanks have never had gravel so clean... Tiger barbs and fancy guppies in the middle area and group of needle nosed gars on the top. The tank has plants and wood and bunch of snails.

I wouldn't be concerned as long as you see the shrimp displaying normal feeding behaviors, staying in the general same location, holding 'fans' open to gather food, not grasping at surfaces or objects with their fans. If you see extensive use of fan grasping, the shrimp need something (more food or a stronger current pushing water around the tank).

I have the same thing..... they are not particularly friendly towards each other and pretty much live at separate sides of the tank..... Wouldn't worry about it....

Which of your bottom feeders is keeping the gravel so clean? I have Apple snails and the tank constantly needs to be cleaned. Would some shrimp help me? What is a corie?

Thanks.
