I need a quick answer and i know someone will be able to help! My brig babies are starting to hatch and i don't want them to fall into the water and be eaten by the fish so question is...

Can I drop them into a breeder net i have hanging in the tank for my baby platies?? I don't have any spare bare-bottom tanks to use. I think the platy babys are old enough to be in the tank now so I can move them out.

Also, is it okay that the baby snails go into the water now that they've hatched? I know that the eggs are not supposed to get really wet because then they drown but once they're hatched they are fully capable of going into the water correct?

Thanks, i'll TRY to get some pics!

yes, the breeder net will be fine. Yes they go directly into the water. They can easily get exhausted by trying to find food when they are young, so a breeder is an ok solution so that they do not have to travel far for the food.

Awesome! Well, as of right now I have 5 babies that are moving around in the net. There are 2 that are not moving but they did sink so I'm guessing thats a good thing that they sunk instead of floating?? I'm sooo excited!

congrats, i notice that they aren't big eaters for the first day or two. I usually put tiny pieces of wafers in at least once a day. if its gone, i add more, if its not, i remove it and replace. alot of times its pretty hard to tell in the first couple days if they are alive or not, just be patient, they usually move to the sides of the breeder. Good luck! please let me know if i can offer you any more advice.
