Do these plants look healthy???

I have some live plants in my 125 freshwater tank..I am not using CO2 but have been added seachem undergravel plant tablets as well as flora-pride...I am concerned about the brownish color to my anarchis, you can see the one new plant growing out at the top is nice and green but the lower half of the plant is like a brownish-green (not sure if you can see it clearly in the pic). Also there are these string looking things coming from the plant as well, anbody know what they are? On the java fern all those brownish looking things will become new plants/leaves? just looks awful to me but as long as its good i dont care.

oh and also, i had a black backround on which seemed to make it dreary, would a blue bring out the colors of the tank and i need to scrub the brown algae as well but thats why i have ottos which take care of that...
 
It looks like your ph may be a little low. Your anacharis is not doing so good. Plus you might have too much water current.
Low ph can cause this plant to look just like the one in your pic.
Too much water current will release all the co2 rendering it useless.

They look alright to me, like you said could just be the adjusting to the new tank. My java fern also has some of that black stuff on the leaves, but the new leaves are looking good.

To much current is not a bad thing so long as it is not breaking plants or stressing out the fish, the water flow is only bad when it is breaking or highly agitating the surface which is what would help to release the CO2 from the water if it is of higher concentration. However, if the output of the filter(s) is below water level and not breaking the water surface than it is perfectly fine and beneficial because it will help to keep the tank temperature stable, distribute nutrients and keep algae at bay.
 
My java fern has the black stuff too. I have read that that is one way of propagation, the black spots I mean. Kinda uglies the fern when looking at it closely but aside from that, it seems fine from afar.
 
They look pretty healthy to me - I have the same plants, Java Fern and anacharis. My anacharis is a little fuller-leaved, though, so I dunno about that. I've only had mine for about a month, but it grows pretty quickly from what I've seen. The branching part in the second picture looks like newer growth? Looks healthy, about like mine.
I have that plastic rock with the blue flowers, too, haha. There's one plant you can't go wrong with. :P Looks like a nice tank.
