Makes me a little nervous seeing one get that fat. There is a second one that is runner up. They are two of the original 6 wilds I received. They've been in my discus tank all this time. Just a week ago I caught them and put them in the tank with the 35 young sids. It seems to have been a good move for them and the young ones. There's a lot more active swimming going on now and if the fatness is from overeating, there's a lot more loach competition for bloodworms now. They don't seem to be interested in eating anything but bloodworms. They'd eat bugs, but I haven't gotten any yet. Thinking about the wingless fruitflies for them. The bad thing is there's very little information anywhere about the sids. It's possible that those two are females and they are approaching maturity. As you can see from the picture she, (I call her a she) is beginning to get the coloration down the bottom half of her belly, same as the runner up fatty.
