So, I ordered a Nova Extreme T-5 lighting hood and did pretty little research in terms of how T-5 works. The hood I'm getting comes to a total of 78 watts but I did SOME research and people have been saying that the lights on a T-5 is actually a "higher" value than regular PC lighting. Like, 1 regular watt equals to more than 1 on a T-5. Is this true?

If so, how many "real" watts is 78 watt T-5?

Any articles or info would be great :)

not too much of a fan of all those this light does that......

for the most part if each bulb has a reflector your getting more light into the tank vs reg cf bulbs. i think its like 110-120% light into it.
