I hear about alot of people using HOT Magnums with the micron filter for water polishing and such. Are there any other good micron filters out there?

Vortex diatom is what I use.

I was looking for a water polishing filter and was going to buy the Diatom filter, but due to the cost (would have been $250 up here in the Great White North) I bought the HOT Magnum. It does a very good job of clearing up the water. I have used it once for clearing up an algae bloom. They are very easy to clean and maintain and cheap too! :)

I was also looking at the diatom Vortex, but I think i'm going to try the HOT Magnum first, from a cost perspective plus it looks to be easier to use and maintain.
My main concern are my tanks that are for showing stuff off in my house and occasionally strapping one of these bad boys on to water polish before poker nights and parties ;)
