Please look at the fish in my 75 G, can I add more discus, and how many. Please think long term. Guppy fry can be considered food or moved to another tank,if I need to. The bottom dwellers and discus stay.
Thanks.

I would add 2 more maybe 3 and move you betta to a different tank, your pygmy's may also be seen as food.

I agree..move the betta and add several more Discus. get the count up to 5-6.

Yes an adult discus will probably eat them.

pygmy cory's.. cool fish
they are a bit small and may fall to predation..tho corydoras are very active.
but more of a concern is the comfortable temp range difference.
pygmy's tend to prefer water a bit cooler than the discus.
I am not a big fan of adjusting the temp range to the upper limit for one species and the lower limit for another.

I would up the count of discus to at least six and move the livebearers including the guppies. If you want to keep cories with discus you can go with peppered cories or sterbis(sp). They are larger when full grown and will not be eaten by the discus. I also think they are prettier then the pygmy cories.

So far, I have removed all livebearer adults(includes ALL sexable males). I was able to get 2 danios while at it. The betta has to stay, there is no place for him anywhere else, the rest are using all aquariums and the betta keeper. He is the most shy and non-aggressive male.
So here is what I have in the 75G:
2 discus
7 danios
3 albino cory
5 pygmy cory
~25 cherry shrimp, 8 ghost shrimp
BN pleco
Rhino pleco
Queen Arb. pleco
Temp is taken up to 82*
pH is being slowly lowered.
Current read at about 7.1, aiming for 6.8
Nylon with peat has been added to filter.
I removed t he hornwart(had to get guppies out).
I'd prefer to limit tank to 4 discus. Can I put a few VT angels in it that are in the tank I put the livebearers in?
I've successfully spawned angels before, and am prepared to move some if needed into thier own tank if they pair up...
Also, can my pleco all tolerate the temp and pH?

I wouldn't put the angels in there as they are to active for discus.

VT( veiltails)?
angels can be housed with Discus in larger tanks
you do have to take some precautions with Angels QT the angels for atleast a month before adding them to the main tank..treat for parasites..angels can carry parasites(camillanus and capillaria) the angels may not show signs of infestation!! over time they have developed some resistance to the parasites
these parasites can be devastating to Discus.
also if you add them keep a watchful eye as Angels may outcompete some Discus for food.

ok, 2 discus is not a good combination. they are a schooling fish, preferring groups of 5 or more.
www.simplydiscus.com (http://www.simplydiscus.com)
that website is good for beginners.

Ok, I am up to 4 discus now. It might be a bit before I can add a couple more.
I also added another pleco to the tank. L134...She tried to move into the queens cave,
I've never seen plecos fight before(its resolved, none hurt).
Will 4 be enough to bring the discus to the front of the tank? They are the biggest fish, and their only competition is a couple danios and a shy betta.
